FABRIC DESCRIPTION

Satin or satin is a fine, shiny, uniform, smooth fabric with a soft hand.

It is historically considered one of the most elegant fabrics, it has an extremely shiny surface that gives depth to any movement once worn.

Its material of choice is silk, but it can also be made with many other fibers including cotton.

Its history is closely linked to that of silk, a monopoly of China for millennia.

In fact, satin was produced with silk, consequently it was very expensive and used by the wealthiest classes.
